About The Location
Walking towards the Acropolis, the Plaka neighborhood, the ancient Agora and the new Acropolis Museum, is a few blocks away, while on the other side of Ermou str., Athens’ new hip district comes alive after dark with clubs and bars bustling with younger people. On the top of Ermou str. is Syntagma Square, the historical city square beneath the Parliament. Just beyond that, Kolonaki, the upmarket neighborhood full of shops, cafes and restaurants on the left and the National Garden on the right, both offer choices for a fun afternoon – or a whole day!
Some of Athens’ most interesting museums are within walking distance from the Electra Rhythm hotel too: the Benaki Museum, the Museum of Cycladic Art and the Byzantine museum all are on Vass. Sofias street, easily reachable on foot. So whether it is the shopping scene that brings you in Athens, or its hip clubs and bars, or the history, art and museums, rest assured: the Electra Rhythm hotel, with its privileged location at Syntagma will become your personal haven!
Situated on the top of Ermou Street, just off Syntagma Square, the Electra Rhythm is the ideal hotel to explore Athens. One of the first roads to be designed in the original city plan, Ermou takes its name from Hermes, the god of commerce. It was designed as the city’s main commerce street, and holds this role until today. A shopper’s paradise, designer and main street brands can be found here in shops old and new. This pedestrian thoroughfare leads to Monastiraki Square, then onwards to the Keramikos archeological site.
