Job Overview:

The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the food and beverage department to ensure profitability, efficiency, and high-quality service. This role involves managing the entire F&B operation, developing innovative menus, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The F&B Director collaborates with other departments to enhance guest experiences, drives staff training and development, and fosters strong relationships with suppliers. Key responsibilities include budget management, cost control, maintaining service standards, and identifying new trends and opportunities to enhance the food and beverage offering.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Manage all food and beverage outlets, kitchens, and service teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.
•    Develop and manage the F&B department budget, including forecasting, financial analysis, and cost control.
•    Collaborate with chefs and bar team to create innovative and appealing menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal trends.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of high-quality ingredients and products.
•    Train, and mentor F&B staff to ensure high performance, adherence to standards, and excellent customer service.
•    Ensure all food and beverage products meet quality, presentation, and safety standards, adhering to health and hygiene regulations.
•    Drive initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction, gather feedback, and respond to customer preferences to maintain high service levels.
•    Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), and labor costs to achieve financial targets.
•    Develop and implement long-term strategies to grow revenue, improve service, and capitalize on F&B industry trends.
•    Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health, safety, and licensing regulations.
•    Work closely with other departments such as marketing, events, and sales to align F&B offerings with overall business goals.
•    Oversee food and beverage services for events, banquets, and conferences, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
•    Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in food and beverage operations, including management-level positions.
•    Fluent in both written and spoken English; proficiency in an additional language is a valuable asset.
•    Proven leadership abilities with experience managing large teams in a fast-paced, high-volume F&B environment.
•    Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control methods, including managing profit and loss (P&L) statements.
•    Strong focus on delivering excellent customer experiences, with the ability to respond to guest needs and manage feedback.
•    Thorough knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations and compliance requirements.
•    Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff, suppliers, and customers.
•    Ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, including events, staff training programs, and operational improvements.
•    Strong analytical and decision-making skills to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
•    Familiarity with F&B management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
